ABOUT ELI

How it all started...

My Journey into the World of Velocity A Business.

When I got married, I had this grand idea of starting a family and making money simultaneously. So, in my somewhat unconventional decision-making style, I embarked on the journey of creating Elizabeth Davidson Design with just $17 and a trusty glue gun.

Fast forward three years, and my venture had blossomed into a million-dollar business with a thriving retail presence. But the real essence of my business was rooted in the concept of Velocity, even before I fully grasped it.

You see, at the time of my wedding, the stores were filled with what I can only describe as unappealing bridal accessories. I couldn't fathom my bridesmaids walking down the aisle adorned in gaudy silver sparkles and over-the-top pearls.

So, I took matters into my own hands and crafted unique hair accessories for them. Why? Well, I had an urgent and costly problem on my hands – I absolutely did not want unattractive wedding photos.

Thus, armed with a glue gun and some remarkably realistic artificial flowers, I set out to solve my problem. Little did I know, my predicament resonated with countless others.

The very first store I approached managed to sell $1000 worth of my creations within the first week. Looking back, I now realize that I was unwittingly developing the concept of the Velocity Factor, even though I hadn't put a name to it at the time.

Making a Difference Globally...

My journey in philanthropy has been a deeply fulfilling one, and I've had the honor of engaging in meaningful initiatives alongside remarkable individuals. One such opportunity was serving on Richard Branson's Extreme Tech Challenge board, where I sat alongside visionaries like Lars Rasmussen, the founder of Google Maps.

Together, we worked tirelessly to raise funds for local charities in the Caribbean, leaving a positive impact on the communities we touch in the realm of global tech philanthropy.

This is where I had the privilege of contributing to the "Girls in Tech" movement, where our collective efforts raised an impressive $25,000. With this funding, we were able to build a school in Uganda dedicated to educating underprivileged children. What set this school apart was its focus on entrepreneurship, providing not only academic knowledge but also the tools for self-sufficiency to the villagers, creating a sustainable cycle growth.

As a co-founder of the Mano Amiga micro-finance organization, our mission was clear: empower women living in poverty through education and micro-loans. This initiative aimed to teach entrepreneurship, offer financial assistance, and provide ongoing support, all with the overarching goal of breaking the cycle of poverty for these resilient women and their families.

I also served as a liaison for the expat community, connecting them with top philanthropic endeavors in Mexico and Latin America. Additionally, as a board member of the Girasol Foundation. I played a vital role in preserving the indigenous crafts of Otomi women and helping them utilize their crops to sustain their livelihoods.

My dedication to philanthropy extended to mentoring with the KIRCHNER Foundation, where I had the privilege of guiding global participants. Through entrepreneurship and technology, we collaborated to safeguard the global food supply chain, working toward a more sustainable and resilient future for all.

Celebrating My Journey as an Author...

"Funky to Fabulous" is not just a book; it's a testament to the passion that I poured into it.

This work of mine has received the recognition it deserves, boasting three national book awards and achieving international bestseller status.

To add a cherry on top, "The Today Show" was enamored with the book, featuring it during sweeps week, captivating an audience of 7 million viewers. They even shared sample chapters with their audience, further igniting its popularity.

But that's not all. I proudly hold the distinction of being the sole woman in both the book and movie titled "The Meta-Secret," a work that resonated with readers worldwide and achieved a remarkable milestone by selling 1 million copies globally.

Collaborating with luminaries like Jack Canfield and Bob Prosser was an incredible experience, and it opened doors to fan mail pouring in from places as distant as South Korea and Italy, leaving me awe-inspired by the global reach of my work.

A Transformative Journey...

Overcoming Health, Business, and Relationship Challenges:

In a relentless pursuit of success, I found myself working harder but not smarter. The outcome was a devastating trifecta of personal and professional turmoil that forever altered the course of my life and business.

My marriage crumbled, my business plummeted into the depths of despair, and I was burdened with a staggering $88,000 of corporate credit card debt, all while having nothing substantial to show for my efforts.

The breaking point came when I was struck by Meniere’s syndrome, a debilitating condition that left me bedridden for an extended period—three or four seemingly endless months of complete incapacitation. It's a condition that keeps some people confined to their beds for a lifetime due to its nerve-related complexities.

During this dark period of my life, I stumbled upon a series of painful revelations. I discovered that my own employees had embezzled from me, my husband had been unfaithful, and my business partner had neglected to pay his legal obligations. The spiral of catastrophes resulting from my relentless overworking became painfully apparent.

It was this very experience that fueled my determination to ensure others didn't fall into the same trap. As I reflected upon the choices I had made, I recognized the need for a profound shift in my life.

This realization prompted me to embark on a journey of self-discovery, enrolling in a master's degree program in Spiritual Psychology, even though my financial circumstances made it seem impossible.

With only enough to cover a single month's tuition, I took a leap of faith. This decision became a lesson in taking decisive action and seeking support from the universe.

Remarkably, as I integrated the wisdom of spiritual psychology with the lessons I had learned in my business, my income experienced an astonishing 500% increase. It was a testament to the power of transformation and the potential for positive change, even in the face of the most challenging circumstances.

My Flourishing...

In the past I was a workaholic. Now I treasure creating a life of graciousness and spaciousness where I flourish . Once I got out of an abusive relationship I realized how much I absolutely adore, entertaining and making table scapes and creating this incredible environment that makes my friends feel so loved and appreciated.

My mom went to Europe with her best friend for a year in Europe, which planted the seed of my love of adventure and travel. You can hop on my Instagram to see my trips in India, Europe, Italy, and amazing places in Latin America

During Covid as a way to help my mom who couldn’t leave her apartment in Milan, so I started taking pictures every every every single day. I was fortunate to have a well-known artist who exhibits globally, I see my photographs and say, " Wow you really have talent".

She encouraged me to apply to the world art games and I was accepted. I’ve now been included in two international exhibitions and I had my first photography show in Paris this year.

I always loved I always love love love dancing, and now I do dancing-of-the-soul every week and such an extraordinary place. Also under the tutelage of Miquette I’ll probably start doing Cuban salsa very soon. I thrive on really great friendships and I really must say I have curated a band of amazing people that I treasure who love me back.

And I think one of the things that has been really profound that I was talked to God about this morning is that my path has been a lot about alchemy.
